Rockjaw Invitational Clay Target Shoot
Rockjaw Tours in conjunction with Furneaux Field & Game Association held the inaugural 2 Day shoot on Flinders Island on September 10th and 11th 2011 .
There was 61 shooters in attendance and a wide variety of targets were shot over the two days.
After 150 targets the winners of
AA/A grade Robert Sturzaker
B Grade Steve Crawford
C Grade Joe Crawford
They went into a shoot off of 25 targets for this shoot off they were handicapped on the score they shot over the two days.
Robert on a handicap of 1, Steve on a handicap of 2 and Joe on a handicap of 5.
After 25 targets Robert and Joe were equal and shot off another 50 targets before Robert came out as the winner.
This was a remarkable effort on Joe's behalf as he has only 13 years old and has only been shooting for 10 months.
1st prize: A weekend for 4 hunting Brown Quail on Vansittart Island.
2nd prize: A weekend for 4 fishing on Flinders Island.
3rd prize a weekend for 2 staying on Flinders Island

Also I would like to thank all of the members of Furneaux Field Game, the ladies in the kitchen that kept everyone fed, the office staff and especially Rod Drew and Rod Berger for their help fixing traps and setting targets. Most of all I would like to thank all of the shooters that traveled to Flinders Island to make this a most successful event.
As far as we were concerned it was a fantastic event and having a 75 target shoot off totally made the event and proved that the handicap system works.
